So this last week, since Tuesday I have had a cold, which got worse on Thursday because I refused to rest . Also on Thursday I got pink eye haha. so I did, until Sunday. But no worries I learned my lesson. After working everyday this week, I finally called the mission doctor, Elder Rey Saturday, He gave me eye drops for the pink eye, which is almost gone, and told me to drink water and REST. Sunday after church I slept like i was dead for 2 hours. I feel much better, but feel a bit bad that I didn't work yesterday.Ya I know I'm a bit prideful, but I'm not here on the mission to sleep, I'm here to work. I should be 100% better soon!
So I have another crazy food to tell you all about. Two weeks ago I tried Honduran Blood sausage. It was dang good, a bit spicy but good. It is the weirdest color, like a really dark brown. All and all wasn't to bad, it was better than cow lung haha
We are still working with Maria and Isis. They have a baptism date for the 29. I'm a bit worried because they don't like to stay in church the whole 3 hours. I actually think that nobody in our branch likes to sit in that little hot house with 70 people for 3 hours. Its hard, but the church is going to buy land soon for a chapel. They should start construction in April. I'm worried for all my investigators, if they cant feel the spirit in church, then why go right? Just another obstacle in the mission =)
So this last week Elder Muñoz and I had a sweet opportunity. Wednesday night we were talking to the Principal of the School here. Her name is Sandra, She is one of the leaders of the community. We were talking, and she told us that she is starting to notice the community change, and because of the work that we are doing. I think that she might actually let us in her house to teach her haha. We will see.
One last thing. One night this last week, I don't remember which, We came home for the day, and on our wall was the scariest looking insect that I have ever seen. This thing looked like a spider but it only had six legs. It had long antennas, with these crazy looking pincer. I could actually see with my naked eye how many teeth were on each pincer. It was about as big as my hand. Long story short, I killed it, resprayed the house with Permithirn ( a super strong bug repellent) and tried to sleep haha. This country is pretty crazy, but I love it to death!
Life is super good, I am having fun and loving being a missionary. I really am learning something new everyday. I have an unbreakable testimony and a love for the people. I'm grateful for all of you and your support!!!

Conferencia!!!
Hey everyone, I had a good week this week. We did a ton of work, and best of all we got to finish it off with confrence! I am super excited for the new temple in provo, I am hoping that it will be done by the time I get back. By the way, I totally knew that it was going to become a temple haha. The best part of confrence was, we had seven investigators attend the sunday morning session, and a bunch of them watched the sessions on their TV!

My week was so stinkin busy!!
Hey everyone, this week was crazy but full of blessings and success. We were able to get all the papers neccessary to marry our family. This was a milestone in the history of our little town. The father Oscar Valles is know as the Zorro(fox or playa) of the Villeda, but we finally tied him down. I am a bit worried about his faithfullness. His wife, Consuelo and his son Bryan were baptized Saturday and confirmed Sunday making my first baptisms in my second area!!
The wedding was good, it was just by law, which means that the couple with two witnesses sign a bunch of papers in front of an abogada or a guy that verifies everything, it takes about 15 minutes. It was short but good. I have a ton of photos of the signing, and a ton of photos from the town that it took place.
This week me and Elder Muñoz were running around the city almost everyday. My companion is district leader so he has to interview people for baptism. Wedndsday we drove for like 2 hours on a bus to an area in our district to find that the guy being interviewed didn't show up, frustrating right. Also Elder Muñoz had a meeting with all the leaders in the mission Thursday. I got to be senior companion for a day in my area with a greenie gringo, Elder Snow, who has 3 weeks in the mission. I feel pretty confident in my abilities as a missionary, or at least much more than I did 3 months ago. I am still learing a ton everyday.
Last Monday me and my comp visted the dam 10 minutes above our area. The member we went with had to bribe, or at least I think it was a bribe, to let our car pass. People can walk up to the dam but the government doesn't like a ton of cars up there. This area is super pretty, pure green everywhere. Below the dam is a river that looks a ton like the Middle fork, it killed me a bit inside haha. I have some sweet pics that I'll send soon.
Last thing, like I mentioned above, I was senior comp for a day, which meant that I had to teach pretty much by myself. I taught a 50 minute lesson of repentance to one of our baptisimal dates. I felt the spirit guide my words, I taught with clarity, and I think that Maria, our investigator, feels better about her past. She has a date for the 29th of october but I think we are going to be able to move it up to a sooner date.
I'm excited for conference this week, I'll tell you how it turned out. I think I'm going to try to make waffles like the tradition of Aunt Peggy haha. I'll tell you how it was next week!!!

whats up!!!!
Hey everyone so this week I have quite a bit to tell you all.
First things first. I ate some crazy stuff. On Tuesday I tried something called "buffot" Which is cow lung. Ya that's right, cow lung. Its like eating an old sponge soaked in meat flavor. I managed to eat it all after dousing it in lime juice. Its not something that I want to eat again, but I have a feeling that I might have to haha. I also had got to eat cow tail and cow stomach. Every part of the cow is eating, but my question is where are the steaks, because I haven't seen one in my five months here hahaha.
One night when getting back from working, on our porch was the biggest dang spider I have ever seen. It was a tarantula native here in Honduras. My companion told me that we had to kill it because they have enough venom to kill a horse. So I took some pictures, then killed it with one of my chacos, good ol chacos haha.
so 2 of our baptism dates fell. Maria and her niece Isis were supposed to be baptized this Saturday, but Elder Muñoz and I didn't feel like she was prepared, we talked to her this week and it turns out that she feels the same too. She wants to be baptized some time in October. I'm hoping conference will really help her testimony.
We are going to marry the "player" of la Villeda Morales this Friday. He is the mayor of the town, he owns two buses and a billiards club. His wife and son want to get baptized, he doesn't, but he understands that he has to marry his wife for her to be baptized. Hopefully all the papers go through. If everything goes right we should baptize his wife and son this Saturday.
Yesterday Elder Muñoz and I taught sundayschool. I was impressed with myself haha. I think people understood me. I really think that it might be possible that my Spanish is getting better.

La Villeda Morales!!
So I really do love my new area, the work her is amazing. Our branch three months ago had 25 people that met in a house. Now we have around 80 members. I think they are going to build a chapel up here in the next few months. We have 4 more baptims this month. Today we got all the papers ready to marry a family. The wedding will go down this saturday, ill tell you about it next week!! I feel bad that I dont have more time to write. I love you all so much, you are in my prayers!!

Villerea Morales is Heaven on Earth!
Hey everyone, so last week I changed areas and companions. My new area is called Villerea Morales. It is so dang beautiful, just a green forest with little colorful houses everywhere. There are a ton of horses, people board them in the stables here. There are always cattle, brahmas, goats and chickens in the road. It reminds me of Tridell. The best part is, its dang quite. Another perk is that its only ten minutes from the city, and the Metro mall!! that means I get to eat good fast food every Monday, could life be better?
My new companion Elder Muñoz is awesome. He is a Honduran from Ceiba, the North coast. He only has three years in the church but he has a powerful testimony. He only has two more months on the mission, so he knows whats up, I'm excited to learn a ton from him. The best part is, is that I can understand him 100 percent!
We already have 3 baptism dates for this month. I will let you all know how they are doing next week. I still don't know much about the area but I'm learning fast. I can remember names and faces a hundred times better then when I first came into the mission. I can understand Spanish so much better too. I am just super happy to be here!!
